Art Journal Abstracts
Welcome! In this workshop, I’ll show you how to develop colorful, textured layers in your art journal. We’ll start with basic mark-making and work our way through various layers (acrylic paint, spray ink, paint pens, etc) and finish off with handmade collage paper to give it a personal touch. Come back each week for new lessons!

Lesson 1: Oil Pastel & Mark-Making Layers
We’ll play with oil pastels and other mark-making materials to establish our first layers.

Here we’ll ad spray ink and stencils to create a rich layer of resists against the oil pastel background.

Lesson 3: Acrylic Ink and Paint
This layer is all about adding acrylic ink and paint to push the vibrancy of our background.
