For this section, you'll need your favorite collage paper. You'll need a variety of your favorite colors, textures, and some neutrals (black/white/grey). Here is a list of some of my favorites to get some ideas:
Scrapbook paper
Insides of envelopes (look through your junk mail, fliers, or bills)
Vintage ephemera (tags, receipts, old letters)
Music sheets
Tissue paper (patterned or solid colors)
This is a nice time to cover up any parts of your "mess" that don't bring you joy. I like to rip pieces for a more natural, jagged edge. You can cut yours out if you'd like. I also like placing my pieces along a "grid" of vertical and horizontal lines. You may place these pieces however you'd like. You may also add a focal image if you'd like, although we will add some words as our focal point in the final step.
